About Me

Hi, I’m Patience Heath

Hi, I’m Patience Heath

I am a currently a senior at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, majoring in Statistics with a minor in Mathematics. On campus I stay actively involved as visibility director for NJPIRG, where my key focus campaign addresses hunger and homelessness. This role has allowed me to volunteer over 60 hours towards initiatives supporting our local community. I am also a track and field athlete specializing in the long jump, putting aside over 20 hours a week for training and competition.

I truly love design. I started using Adobe software at the age of 11 and I never looked back since then. Seeing a clients vision come to life and knowing that you made something meaningful to them has always been my ‘why’. Design isn't just about visuals for me its about creating a story that connects and leaves a lasting impression.

Statistics and math may seem completely opposite from design, but they share a surprising amount in common. The foundational part of both is problem solving, taking a complex problem and breaking it down into parts to address and find a solution. During a data-driven design project, I saw how insights from analytics can actually guide creativity and help you both design, and create what users really want. That experience made me even more excited about combining both sides of my brain to create more thoughtful work.

Outside of academia I love to draw, paint, cook, bake and play instruments. I love to try new things and I pick up as many hobbies as I can!
